The following schemes are implemented to help adi dravidar and tribal people of the district through the Department of adi dravidar and tribal welfare, Government of Tamilnadu.
Free Bording and lodging :
Free Bording and lodging to the students studying from 4th standard
Eligibility condition
- Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Castes Converted to Christianity students studying from 4th std to College.
- Distance between the school and Residence should be more than 5 kms (This does not apply for girls)
- Parents / guardian income limit Rs. 2 Lakhs p.a

Special Meals Fees :
- Special Meals Fee for the Hostel staying school student both boys and girls, Rs.20/- per student.

Private Subsidy Hostels :
- Under Government Hostels of Adi -Dravidar and Tribal Welfare there are 36 subsidised hostels run by voluntary organizations. Students studying in theses hostels are provided.
- Food Charges, Miscellaneous Expenses, Atlas, Dictionary, Mat, Bed Sheet, Uniform and Stitching charges by this department.

Prevent From Riots :
Assistance to SC/ST people affected by Riots
- The SC/ST (POA) Act-2015 and Rules – 2016 to prevent atrocities on the SCs and STs
- 2.To protect SC and ST against the riots.
Eligibility condition
- A sum of Rs.8.25 Lakhs maximum is awarded as compensation for the family who lost life in the riots.
- Basic pension to the widow or other dependents of decreased persons belonging to SC or ST amounting to Rs.5000 per month as applicable to a Government servant with admissible D.A and employment to one the family members of the deceased and provision of agriculture land and house, etc
